BBQ Cauliflower Wings with Greek Yogurt Ranch Dip

About recipe

While they may not taste like chicken, these BBQ cauliflower wings are equally delicious! They make for a great snack or appetizer for parties, especially if you’re looking for a healthier option to serve as Super Bowl Sunday approaches.

Ingredients (serves 6)

BBQ Cauliflower Wings:

  • 2 heads cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk, reduced or low fat
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups BBQ sauce

 Greek Yogurt Ranch Dip:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, reduced or low fat
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 450° F . Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, 1/2 tsp of the garlic powder, 1/2 tsp of the onion powder, and 1/8 tsp of the salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour with remaining garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Pour in the milk and water. Whisk to combine well.
  4. Combine cauliflower into batter and toss to coat well. Shake off any excess batter. Coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Roll around each piece to coat well.
  5. Arrange cauliflower in a single layer on the parchment paper lined tray. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Meanwhile, combine all of the ingredients for the Greek yogurt ranch dip in a medium bowl and set aside.
  7. Remove cauliflower from oven and brush each piece with BBQ sauce. Bake for another 8-10 minutes to caramelize the sauce. Serve with dipping sauce and enjoy!
