Make Cards for Clients

Our comforting, made-from-scratch meals send the message to those in greatest need that someone cares. We invite children (and adults) of all ages to help brighten our clients’ day with handmade cards throughout the year.

Who will receive my card?
Your card will be sent to one of our critically ill clients. Our clients range in age from 3 to 101 years of age and many are homebound and living alone. Your card will brighten a client’s day and let them know we’re thinking of them and wishing them well.

What should my card say?
We want to send our clients positive messages and avoid saying things that might remind them of their illness. For suggestions, view our Guidelines for Card Making.

Ok, I made some cards. Now what?
You can drop-off or mail cards:

Community Servings
Attn: Volunteer Department
179 Amory St.
Jamaica Plain, MA 02130

Cards can be dropped off Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. We accept cards year-round (not only for major holidays) and we’re happy to receive any number of cards you make.

Kids Giving Back

Card making is a fun project for children of all ages and we love seeing the creative and heartfelt cards made by local Boys’ and Girls’ Scouts, church groups, and schools.
