The AMPL Institute

Access to Medically Tailored Nutrition through Policy and Leadership

Mission

The AMPL Institute is where excellence in providing medically tailored nutrition meets pioneering research, policy work, and provider education. Our mission is to transform the healthcare system so that medically tailored nutrition becomes a universally accessible standard of comprehensive, person-centered care.

The Case for MTM

Community Servings’ peer-reviewed research has supported innovations in public policy and new opportunities for the reimbursement of nutrition services within healthcare.

Past evaluation of the health and economic benefits of medically tailored meals (MTM) found that for individuals with complex chronic illnesses and nutrition insecurity, MTM improves dietary quality, reduces healthcare utilization, and reduces costs.
