More comfortable with computers than the kitchen?
Our Teaching Kitchen job-training program needs volunteers to help trainees gain digital literacy skills. Volunteers help trainees search for job postings, complete online job applications, create email accounts, or build their Indeed.com profiles.
Volunteer hours are from 1 – 4 pm on Thursdays. Digital literacy classes are informal; the main goal is to help trainees use computers and feel confident in their basic abilities.
The training is self-directed, with the facilitator(s) guiding and supporting each student.
A commitment to leading at least one six-week digital literacy training is required.
