Arepas

About recipe

Arepas originate from South America and are made from ground corn flour mixed with water. They’re most commonly associated with Colombia and Venezuela. Both countries have their unique spin on the recipe. They are delicious topped with cheese, ground turkey, scrambled eggs, avocado, or roasted veggies! You can also use masa arepa which is a product that is ground finer than regular corn flour.
