Two local businesses host author Ted Gup honoring his new book, A SECRET GIFT: How One Man's Kindness - and Trove of Letters - Revealed the Hidden History of the Great Depression
Blackstone's of Beacon Hill, in collaboration with the Liberty Hotel, will host a benefit book signing and reading with local Beacon Hill author Ted Gup, to help raise money for Community Servings. The event takes place on Tuesday, November 16th from 6:30-8pm at the Liberty Hotel. The highlight of the night will be an interactive Q&A session with Ted Gup followed by a signing of his new book, A SECRET GIFT: How One Man's Kindness - and Trove of Letters - Revealed the Hidden History of the Great Depression. The work reveals a 75-year-long mystery act of kindness during the Great Depression. A SECRET GIFT traces how one man and his humble gift, made at such a dire time in our history, could make a difference in an entire community.
Guests will be offered complimentary hors d'oeuvres with a cash bar. A $10 donation is suggested, with 100% of those donations going to support our programs within the community. In conjunction with a book purchase and donation, attendees will receive goodie bag.
