AmeriCorp VISTA - Marketing Assistant
The VISTA volunteer will expand and build sustainable funding streams and community awareness through press outreach, web 2.0 activities and special events. The Vista volunteer will have the opportunity to support the back-end organizing of our development department as well as engage with community members and supporters.

Position Responsibilites
- Managing and expand agency's web 2.0 presence through facebook , twitter, google plus, pinterest, and linkedIn

- Draft and disseminate all press releases and media alerts, while exploring new press opportunites

- Create unique marketing for each of the agency's four major fundraising events

- Define the target demographic for the agency's event promotion.


Position Requirements
Successful candidates will:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in a business/marketing/communications related field.
- Be motivated by our mission and by teamwork.
- Possess excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experience with using web 2.0 in a professional capacity.

Education
4-year degree
